Ingredients
- 4.0 unit chicken breasts (Boneless and skinless)
- 120.0 ml pesto (Store-bought or homemade)
- 200.0 g mozzarella cheese (Sliced)
- 4.0 unit ham (Thinly sliced)
- 2.0 unit tomato (Sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket. Be sure not to cut all the way through.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of pesto inside each pocket. Ensure even coverage for flavor enhancement.
- Place a slice of mozzarella, a slice of ham, and a slice of tomato inside each chicken breast to fill the pocket.
- Use toothpicks or kitchen twine to close the edges of the chicken breast pockets securely.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each chicken breast for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
- Remove from oven and let them rest for 5 minutes to redistribute the juices.
