Ingredients
- 400.0 g minced beef (lean is preferred)
- 250.0 g egg noodles (wide variety)
- 150.0 g cream cheese (softened)
- 1.0 unit onion (finely chopped)
- 2.0 unit garlic cloves (minced)
- 250.0 ml beef stock (or water with stock cube)
- 1.0 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1.0 tbsp parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the minced beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, for about 8 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the beef stock. Stir well, scraping any bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add the cream cheese, stirring continuously until it melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper, adjusting to taste. Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly with the creamy sauce.
- Cook for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
